October 18, 2012 – ‘Unharmed By The Second Death’
This is another in the series I’m doing based on the rewards that Jesus gives to those who overcome, as recorded in Revelation 2 to 3. In Revelation 2:11, Jesus promises that those who are faithful through persecution will be rewarded: they will be unharmed by the second death. Here is the poem that goes with this picture:
Unharmed, unscathed, unscratched, unbruised, unmarked
by the best-laid traps of men.
The tempting thoughts of silence and the
second-thoughts of worry and the certainty of
death will never stop these men of heaven’s caliber.
